Although this is a Jewish Tour and offers a fascinating insight into Jewish Ireland, ancient and modern, we also will encounter many other aspects of our lives here that are woven into the colourful tapestry of Irish life and history.
We will look at the roots of the Irish Jewish Community and the routes these people took to escape the Pograms and anti antisemitism of Russia and other Russian Satellite States and I will illustrate this journey using my family history with many historic documents and photographs-after all, they were part of it all. I do have a very close connection with my subjects and so do enjoy sharing this so much with visitors.
We will visit many other facets of Jewish history in Ireland and the way it intersects with much Irish tradition history and culture-some of these connections might just surprise you! Some are very quirky!!
